This simple, effective bracket is designed to work on the passenger side of the 4 speed automatic transmissions found in 1st generation dodge trucks. A simple replacement for the hard to find gated shifter bracket.
Features:
Laser cut design
Machined steel pivot sleeve with delrin bushing, brass thrust washer, preload spring and locking nut. This allows for preload on shifter to combat rattling from engine vibration.
Purchaser is responsible for fabricating link rod to transfer case and sourcing the interior side of the shifter lever. Link rod can be made from 3/8" heim joints and threaded rod or cutting and modifying a factory link rod.
ALSO: If you already have my older design NV4500 Gated shifter bracket, this shifter assembly will bolt directly onto the gated shifter bracket we used to sell.
If you already have a 92-93 getrag trans with the stamped shifter bracket but, are missing the gated shifter assembly, this will bolt in place and save the hassle of looking for a gated shifter assembly. The stamped shifter bracket on 92-93 trucks offsets the location of the shifter and moves it forward from the tailhousing mounts.
